Camels at Majestic Meadows

Dromedary & Bactrian Camels

One hump or two - meet both species!

Meet Our Dromedary & Bactrian Camels

We're proud to have both species of camels at Majestic Meadows! Dromedary camels have one hump and come from the Middle East and Africa, while Bactrian camels have two humps and originate from Central Asia.

With their long eyelashes, distinctive humps, and gentle nature, our camels are unforgettable! They love treats and will gently take food from your hand with their soft, split upper lip. Bactrian camels have thick, shaggy coats for cold winters, while Dromedaries have shorter fur.

Camels are incredibly intelligent with excellent memories. Fun fact: their humps store fat, not water! They can recognize individual people and form strong bonds with their caretakers.
