Donkey Care
Diet
Donkeys are herbivores with efficient digestive systems adapted for sparse vegetation. They eat grass, hay, and straw, requiring less food than horses of similar size. We provide our donkeys with quality hay and ensure they always have access to fresh, clean water.
Grooming
Regular grooming helps keep our donkeys healthy and comfortable. Their hooves need trimming every 6-10 weeks, and they enjoy being brushed. Donkeys have thicker coats than horses and may need shelter from rain, as their fur isn't as water-resistant.
Social Needs
Donkeys are highly social and should never live alone. They form strong bonds with other donkeys and can also befriend horses, goats, and other farm animals. Our donkeys live in a herd where they can interact, play, and comfort each other.
